It is small enough to fit under a seat or in the trunk of the car, next to or in the spare wheel.
The power cable and the inflation cord wrap and back respectively on the side of the unit in locations designed and well thought out so that they are stored and avoid damage.
The power cord is long enough to inflate the 2 wheels on one side of the car, it must then go through the inside to inflate the 2 wheels, which is the most sensible (a cable to make the full rotation the car would have been inconvenient for handling the inflator, and difficult to store).
However, I find that about twenty centimeters for the additional inflation tube would have more ease during inflation (but it should be after store). However, the handling is no problem.
The presence of a LED lamp seemed like a gimmick, but I changed my mind when I had to reinflate me my night spare. This light allowed me to quickly find the location of bolts during the installation of the spare wheel, and above all, to find the damn valve cap in the grass, I had posed no attention ... At a time when the night begins to fall faster, I was glad of the presence of what I thought was a useless gadget ...
I have not used the emergency signal (red light flashing) and hope not to have to do it, but its presence is a good idea ...
The inflator makes so much noise that it (I had another inflator and the sound is the same) and I do not get to talk about it much in the notices, because I do not see how to do some noise could be annoying when the situation dictates that they're used on this unit ... who would tell you to stop making noise while you are trying to re-inflate a tire (the time for someone to come to complain if the fancy took him, your tire is already inflated ...) Except for those wishing to inflate tires in the room of their children ...
The screw cap is not very convenient, it's true. It is less convenient than a tip to follow suit, but personally, I prefer to screw and unscrew, gently (not to distort the valve no screws), but at least I'm sure not inflate in a vacuum and having me back 3 times because the tip is poorly fitted ... it's a matter of taste, but I too met with ferrules that fit poorly or whose seal lasts no.
For this unit, the thread is gold metal (not plastic) which suggests that its strength will last over time.
By cons, this tip remained in my hands after some inflations.
Let me explain: The tip is just fitted into the inflating hose. It is not crimped. So to force the screw and unscrew (unscrewing fastest possible so as not to deflate the wheel), it is removed from the tube.
I thought I had to return the device, but I remboîté very easily (so easily that I thought I could not inflate my wheels because the air would pass between hose and mouthpiece). And subsequent inflations went well.
So monitors to see if it will not source of problem, but it seems that this is done on purpose (possibly to facilitate any change of tip ???)
Anyway, just followed suit, that is perfectly airtight.
The inflation pressure for a discount (of a few tenths of bar) is of the order of 15 seconds.
I personally have a tire inflated to 0.75 bar to 2.3 bar in about 2 minutes.
My advice for those who are not would think, start your vehicle to inflate faster ... It can inflate vehicle off, but it draws on the battery and the inflator will be at least 2 times slower, and will struggle to reach the required pressure.
You can adjust the pressure at which you want to inflate in 3 different units (I use the bars, as the station). Adjustable bars near 0.05. We can keep it in memory setting (suddenly I fill my 4 tires at the same pressure).
Personally, I set at 0.05 bar above to be at the right pressure once looked lost when unscrewing the nozzle. This will depend on your speed of unscrewing.
I feel that the inflator ceases to inflate the wheel when the pressure reached (the one that was set) even if the inflator still makes noise.
In reading the reviews I was afraid of having to leave the inflator to "rest" after 2 inflated wheels, but I personally inflated tire 1 from 0.75 to 2.3 bar, followed by booster for the other 3 (of 2.0 to 2.3 bar) and 1.7 to 2.3 bars in the spare tire inflator ... and showed no sign of fatigue ...
A small flat, the rectangular shape of the inflator is not handy during inflation ... It is often at the edge of a road, on land not very flat, and the inflator (which holds very well straight on flat ground) can not stay right on such a ground ... you either keep a hand or place it on the edge ... But until you do not block the entrance gate of air, there are no worries.
Personally, I have not checked if the pressure indicated corresponds to that would indicate the inflator of a station, but:
- There was so little station with an inflator available now (hence my purchase)
- Who will tell me if it's my inflator or that of the station which is right?
- After a few hours and a few days and several times my inflator gives me the same pressure.
So without checking, I happy, and I trust the pressure listed in 0.05 bars near the inflator.
In conclusion, I do not regret my purchase, and I highly recommend:
Who is sure of the tire pressure?
That is sure to pressure spare wheel? (Even more crucial, as this is when we're dying and you're in an emergency situation that cares ...)
Which has a gas station with an inflator available nearby?
Not me!
So for that price, with quality and reliability of Amazon for the quick and careful delivery, and excellent service, I certainly hesitated on the inflator I wanted, but now I do not regret.
And I hope my opinion will bring you answers to the questions I asked myself before buying this product.
I do not put the fifth star, because to be perfect, the inflator should stand on uneven ground, the tip should not have come off (although it has no impact at this time) and I have step back on the life of the unit ...
But for now, if I could, I would put 4 and a half stars.
If I can, I will return in a few months or even years, to follow up on life.
(PS, I completed my purchase with wicks and the right tools to repair a flat tire, and I recommend it for those who feel repair themselves ... it is not complicated, there tutorials on the net, and it feels great savings)
