too hard, too thick, too stiff

The shoulder pad does not provide additional comfort to my mind. It is rather disturbing factor since it sits in changing the pocket layer (cross hanging from the back to the front) at an unfavorable position and only needs to be tightened. Moreover, I think that due to the wide straps on the Billingham bags this accessory is not necessary for me.
