I'm sorry not to share the general opinion. I am passionate about the history of France and I am particularly interested in the French Revolution. It is with enthusiasm that I bought this book. I'm on page 100 and there is good: I stop. I capitulated. There are too many quotes for me. it makes writing much less fluid and too heavy for me. And I think it's repetitive. I had never read Max Gallo. I discover. This is certainly the first and last book I bought from him. I am very, very disappointed given its reputation. His novels are not for me.
