I have been given the device a few weeks ago, and must say that my impression is quite ambivalent. What it is actually doing, namely to control the temperature of grilling and barbecue area, works very well, the radio transmission is in prolonged barbecue recipes a real relief. As already mentioned in some comments, the operation is not exactly intuitive, but you get used to it. The trouble is that it is possible to change the pre-set core temperature namely, the change is not stored permanently. It remains only as long retained until another type of meat or other cooking level is selected. The corrected temperature value is then replaced by the default value, so that you again have to make anew the changes each time, which is really annoying. Another point is that the device has, unlike its predecessor ET 732 does not have a timer. However, since read in a number to be found on the Internet descriptions repeatedly, the unit will have a timer, I was insecure and have turned to a corresponding request to the Maverick Customer Service. To date, however, I have not received a reply, which speaks for itself. In the Review of the English-language website of Amazon (amazon.com) I've found in the meantime, some posts in which both the lack of Timer and the miserable customer is criticized. For a 70 unit me are then too many negative points.
