I needed a drive, which I mostly movies can look at the notebook and have decided for this. After unpacking the device Samsung made a very good first impression - nice design, light, thin and well-made. The operation provides a solid feel, the flap can be opened well and close. I liked the simple mini-USB port. Only a small bag I wished for it.
When it came then watch the film, I was surprised but:
The drive If one a movie DVD, so sprinting going on and will not be more leisurely. It sounds like a small, loud fan. I must admit that my laptop really can be no loud music from, but quietly the drive is not. The cable is too short to put away far enough. Moreover it creates strong vibrations.
I have buried the brat under my jacket, so it has then still worked with the movie night. No one was injured, he was doing brilliantly afterwards. Is for me but not a permanent solution.
Anyone who wants to watch movies with it, should be able to turned up high enough loud, always a jacket while having (*) or another drive take.
So at least I have done it and resorted to "Toshiba-Samsung TS-L633" - and it works. There are quiet drives that have the same format.
Although I must admit here that my Samsung machine better liked in the other points:
The Toshiba drive looks slightly klotziger and overall not as modern, weighs a little more, and the connection takes place via two cables that you install the drive. (USB type B and barrel connector to USB -. However, it ranges usually connect only the USB cable if the computer has at least USB 2.0)
But for me everything is still smaller than the disadvantages fan Brigade S084D.
I have not burned with both drives. There are a lot of other reviews, the show often that it can both well.
