Unfortunately, there is no mention in the product description that you need additional tools for various series of Macs. There's a star deduction!
No star, I prefer to the effect that the enclosed instructions not sufficient for my Mac Book Pro Mid 2009 (Dual Core, 5.3 model) is. Most serious difference was that you could not just unplug so the system battery. , I had it solved the battery and lift the Noteboooks. But neither tool nor description was available. However, at this point in the manual in a really very very good website with expansion instructions all Mac Book - models referenced (that has the product saved three stars). My 64GB SSD from Samsung (830 series) I have built into the primary shaft, the existing hard drive came in for the SuperDrive bay as segundäres drive.
The external aluminum look-drive enclosure looks beautiful, but it is made of plastic. Here one would wish ight aluminum. It works fine and is recognized when reinstalling the operating system immediately. The CD can be inserted optimally and is also ejected optimally again.
Here Addendum on 03.01.2013: again deduct a star, I regret this for the external drive enclosure. It is very processed "low" and one should treat it very carefully. The upper part is easily deformed and so the CD / DVD will depend actually and can not be ejected. It can be (so far), although again "turn back", but such a thing should not be for this high price. Ergo: The kit is with the defects described by me and by others a bit too expensive - a star deduction.
The system I could easily start, my operating system came up with the new SSD that is "old" HDD for outsourcing. Currently, I, as recommended by the seller, all data and programs still on the HDD as a small security.
To work on the Mac I can not say anything yet. However, what is much faster: The programs are running significantly (mad) faster !!!! These are indeed on the SSD.
The seller and I guess: Pray for the conversion time can, always with the rest! And previously Create definitely with the Time Machine backup a. This means that all settings are applied without any problems (also Internet). There are difficulties only with iTunes.
