1) The super processing: the housing makes a professional, solid impression.
2) Excellent video quality (resolution, low noise, even in low light conditions).
3) The built-in projector - I really did not want to have, but is included in the equipment of this model yet - works better than I expected.
4) Most of all, but thrilled me the Balanced Optical SteadyShot: the handheld shots almost always succeed so that they look as if they were using a tripod emerged.
But there are, unfortunately, a few points which I do not find so great:
1) The audio quality, especially the noise performance: in quieter environment outside you always hear a continuous noise that is clearly caused by the camcorder itself. The AGC turns naturally in such a situation the sensitivity / gain high, but even with Full Manual Control, the disturbing noise is present. I also found out where it comes from: the actuator of the Balanced Optical SteadyShot rushes relatively strong (even audible when one puts his ear directly on the housing) and is the noise about structure-borne sound to the lying directly above the lens 5.1 Mikofon further ,
The purchase of optional accessory stereo microphone ECM XYST1M would probably solve the noise problem, but then I would not have 5.1 sound more.
2) The image quality of the photo mode: see the images only at first glance look good; in the 1: 1 display is seen very strong noise.
3) The optical window of the projector is vulnerable precisely in an area that is necessarily affected when you take the device in the hand (-> grease marks). If you keep this window not extremely clean, the projected image is instantly "milky".
These three not-so-great points but not weigh in my understanding so difficult, because I bought the camcorder hautsächlich for films, and normally when shooting concerts anyway an external audio recorder used (Zoom H2). For photography I use anyway another camera.
Therefore: still 5 stars.
