I have my PC upgraded with:
- Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard Socket AM3 + (ATX, AMD Phenom / Athlon, 4x DDR3 memory, 6x SATA II, 4x USB 3.0) and
- AMD Athlon II X4 640 Quad Core processor (3GHz, Socket AM3, 2MB cache, 95W)
The supplied on this CPU cooler is small and it built-in fan produced in higher speeds a
unbearable noise. As a substitute I have therefore bought the Scythe Shuriken Rev. 2 CPU cooler.
After assembly, the cooling performance was not satisfactory, and also the fan was still audible. Therefore, I still have the
Scythe fan (WxDxH 100x100x10mm) against a be quiet! BQT T9225-MR-PWM Shadow Wings fan 92mm (WxDxH 92x92x25mm) changed.
The retaining clips of the heat sink are also attached for this be quiet! Fan perfect.
My case fans are quiet and slow moving (be quiet! BQT T8025-LR-2 Shadow Wings low-speed 80mm fan.
Now everything is perfect - the CPU temperature reached in normal operation max. 42 ° C (at a rotational speed of the BQT T9225 MR PWM of 1400 to 1500 rpm)
and except for the faint sound of the airflow from 120 mm fan in the Be quiet BQT E8-400W Straight Power PC Power Supply 400W hear nothing.
Conclusion:
- Excellent design with rubberized bearing surfaces
- Tool-free installation by means of plastic pins and rubber washers (as case fans)
- Low air and bearing noise (max 18 dB (A) at 1800 rpm.)
- High air flow
- No vibrations
From me there are 5 star and a buy recommendation!
