Top Game, sometimes something else!

My absolute favorite genre is the Shooterbreich which should have probably already found my readers here. Still, I'm open to everything and also most happy times one or the other game.
So I had to earlier times also Portal 1 times on the disk. However, only the trial version. Not very long it could inspire me. Why, I can not remember really. Anyway, I did not then bought the Game.
Now, with Portal 2, the thing has changed, however. The previews, screenshots, and feedback to the gameplay have made me very curious.

In addition, I find, in addition to all the action in Crysis 2, a game that brings a decent variety, very pleasant. So something the Youtube videos studied, tasted blood and bought the same.

Story
Here I will not really reveal all too much. Roughly one can describe it this way: The player is in a large laboratory facility where he is being held and must undergo various tests. Throughout history, one breaks out briefly, sees something behind the scenes and faces further tasks.
Gameplay
This is the highlight of this almost completely non-violent game. Owned a portal gun, the player has the opportunity to shoot at certain points of the walls, floors or ceilings, holes. These two holes are connected to each other. If you shoot, for example, a hole in the ground, and the second against the wall, you can jump in one of the two / rise and appear in another. Now that would be but too easy. The advantage is that the physical conditions 'taken' be. I jump from a high point in one of the two portals, one will be released on other portal itself speed and flight direction. So then also some puzzles are solved, where you have to cover unbridgeable distances.

Of course, the gun is not the only means available to. Throughout the story we learn also what various fluids have certain properties. Enabling a blue gel to jump higher, because it acts like a rubber mass. Red gel accelerates the player. The white gel is sprayed on a wall, makes it possible to open a portal at this point - which would normally not possible. With gravity can also be played later. But more, I now will not tell. Levels / difficulty
Here is an absolute plus of this game. For me as a newcomer portal of entry succeeded easily. For an experienced player, the first level may be a little boring, but lead the inexperienced very good one at the gameplay. There will be enough time to learn the ways to avoid being taken by surprise by challenging levels. There are maps which are really looking for, think and ponder one 'must these are then also too often easier to master than you might think at first. Variety is offered enough. Frustration moments are not yet come up with me - but if I had to look and think a little longer even if one or the other level.

Fun and Knobel factor

Coop mode
The unfortunately I could not test, because none of my friends still willing explained to bring also the game. If I have sometimes taken a look here, I will complete the. As far as I have, however, information, the Coop mode has to be really successful.

Graphics / Sound
The graphics look typical laboratory, but it looks fine. I liked it so sterile environments very well. In a part of the game to break, however, out of this field of hygiene and looks behind the scenes. Here then you move around between pipes, metal bars and destroyed many industrial devices. But all in all very consistent. Is matched by perfect acoustic background that never comes across as obtrusive and delivers clean sound.

My Conclusion
Absolute recommendation for anyone looking for a bit of variety, something different and want to have fun brainstorming. For Coop fans obligatory anyway!
Reportedly, the makers of Valve already at new levels are off. I'm happy for that.
