The mouse is great in the hand and can be used on just about any surface. Even works on a glass table, only there not where the glass of the table is supported by a metal or aluminum column. If necessary, the mouse can be operated even on your pants or the couch. Although the batteries last only 1 to 2 months (depending on frequency of use), but that's absolutely OK.
