Getting Started with the Beurer PM 25
Although I am a fan of direct trial and reluctant long read instructions, I first looked at the bilingual Quick Reference Guide.
On the front of the piece of cardboard Display is described by the three lines and symbols, and explains the function of the four buttons to the right and left of the display. On the back there is a detailed menu tree to switch between the individual points and herzuspringen. ,
The operating instructions in German and English makes the first steps a breeze. The first device of the clock is a little expensive, but done thanks to the detailed instructions in an instant.
First it comes to the acquisition of basic data. In addition to setting the date and time, user information, such as size, weight and sex are recorded. Thus, the clock is already set up and the first run can begin.
The first application of the chest strap
Where is the damn sternum? This question I asked myself when I read the instructions and have come to apply the chest strap.
I first had to make smart, where the sternum is. It's easy. The sternum is an elongated, flat bone, the front is located in the center of the chest and is connected via the two clavicles right and left shoulder.
I could now visualize with a photo, but I'll spare you a snapshot of the applied belt on my hairy chest. Only so much: there are in the instruction a sketch and a detailed description of how the belt best sitting.
The first run with the chest belt was easy. The belt can be worn comfortably, does not scratch and does not disturb while running. After a short time I have not even noticed the belt.
My tip: first putting the belt on when you first use the heart rate monitor, and then set the clock. Thus, the belt can heat up the body and send signals to the first clock.
In addition, the chest strap as with other competitors must not be moistened to the active sensor, but works directly on it happening.
The first time running with heart rate monitor
DC during my first run the Beurer PM 25 Heart rate monitor could put their skills to the test. For I promptly caught in a rainstorm and was the watertight integrity of the clock and the chest strap of a test subject.
And both the heart rate monitor and the chest did not let me. Despite heavy rainfall, there was no impairment in the function of the heart rate monitor and also not in the chest though my shirt was completely soaked.
Very practical: the storage bag
After running, the question arises: where to put all running Geraffel? Beurer has for an equally simple and practical answer: put it in their storage bag!
In the square bag which can be practically closed with a cord, find the heart rate monitor and the chest strap comfortably accommodate and can be stored space-saving addition to the other skiing accessories and gadgets.
Conclusion: a lot of light and a tiny little shadow
Besides all these positive qualities and the unbeatable value for money just a teeny-weeny disadvantage of the heart rate monitor I noticed after a few training sessions.
The clock only stores the data (heart rate, calories burned, run time) a run. In another run, the data of the next run are either added or need to be reset before the run.
Really dramatic but this is not so that I can recommend the Beurer PM 25 Heart rate monitor without reservation.
