Apple products have unfortunately to have a habit of their own connection types, so that one is dependent on the supplied cables. As a backup and go consequently recommends the purchase of a second special charging cable. With only 50% of the price of the original product, the Lightning cable from RAV Power is very sympathetic here.
The negative comments I can not confirm. I have cable now for more than two weeks on my iPad mini of the second generation in continuous use and can confirm no interference. On the contrary, no difference from the original product can be seen in the loading process.
Incidentally, the cable from RAV Power convinced with regard to the quality workmanship that matches the original product in anything here.
From my perspective, the tested by me cable is recommended. The negative comments I can not confirm. Perhaps here a wrong or defective cord is provided, or it is the interaction with the iPad Air.
