Top TV - for the money even more so

A half months ago matured the idea to buy me no great need a new television. Previously I had a LG 42LW4500 with 3D, but without Internet function.
So now had definitely ago something bigger.

The first candidate was the Philips 55PFL6008; after a few days of this difference from out because of the price, because I wanted to spend more than 1000 in any case.
Then I came across the Sony KDL-50W685, which, especially through the bond BR-action and the then price of 816, was very interesting. The only drawback were the 2 HDMI ports, so there still would have been payable additional costs. But just when I had decided to buy it, the price went up again and I wanted to wait on principle but on a repeated bargain ...

But then came the Cyber ​​Monday and there was suddenly the Grundig 55 VLE 922 for 679 ... but there must be a hook I thought.

But: many terminals, passive 3D, Internet TV and exclusively good ratings in Amamazon. So I thought that I let it just once chance and will do at the price hardly something wrong.

Four days later he was there ... and I was not disappointed.

1) Composition: for a man also alone feasible. Although the much maligned pedestal ensures, in fact for a slight tendency to the lower left; but to me it became aware only after the comments on Amazon and use a folding rule -> I finds absolutely nothing wrong.
Much noteworthy I think in the context that the TV can be rotated by the pedestal. This is very convenient easy to come to a) to the terminals and b) easy to tune the TV to a change in seating position.

2) Setting: Went quickly and without problems. I can not say anything, because I use a cable box to the transmitter etc. Order. On the Internet, he is with me via LAN and he immediately recognized the Internet without any problems. For those who do not have a LAN, it should be noted at this point that you get adapters for ~ 30 of various third-party Wi-Fi and to lead the wireless signal via RJ-45 port on; if other network devices are also available for up to 4 devices.

3) Sound: As mentioned multiple times very good for a TV. Even at level 1, I sometimes fear to disturb my wife while learning ;-)

4) Internet: Everything works well. There are relatively few useful APPs (Youtube, max cathedrals, Ebay, browser and even something like Auto Bild etc). But the existing are still very useful. On YouTube clips in HD streamed very fast and flowing and look fantastic!
HbbTV is also great and works flawlessly. Have the benefits in the last week, especially in the media libraries of ARD and co., Already used extensively.
Of particular note at this point is the excellent smartphone or Tabletapp from Grundig. This includes on the one hand all the important keys of the original remote commander, distributed on 4 screens. But what is much more important: you can always use the keyboard to enter text on your smartphone. Especially for Search on Youtube etc. which is extremely useful!
The only downer is the fiddly operation of the mouse pointer in the browser.
DLNA I've already been testing and also has both a cell phone and my computer works (by Serviio). Only the outline / illustration of folder has easily irritated me. 'M not sure if because the TV as a receiver or the PC is responsible as the sender.

5) consoles: I use an Xbox 360 via HDMI at Grundig and've played Red Dead Redemption, and Forza NBA2K14 GTA5 and all 4 absolutely no problems with input lag So either it occurs only in FPS games etc, I. I just lucky or input lag itself is so small that I do not even notice when it's there ... no idea.

6) Picture: and now for the really most important to a TV, the image.
As a preliminary to say that we just sit ~ 2.5m meters.
At the very first try I was scared. I had one of those zoo shows on RBB and it looked terrible mushy. Since I was already on the verge of sending him back.
Then I have but, starting, employed by a proposal of another review with the image settings. Lo and behold, the image was better by far. Also, I have a feeling that the image itself and the colors in particular, with the time to get better. Summary I would rate the picture wiefolgt:

SD TV (via KD Sagemcom receiver to 720p / 50Hz): 7/10 - mostly pretty good picture, by the size of the TV and the bad inputs of course not perfect. But even a film on Tele 5 looked good; and previously was Tele 5 for me the measure of bad images.

HD TV (also KD Receiver): 8/10 - good depending on the source to very good picture. In productions of public service (bspws. Hamburg Dockland) very detailed and sharp, with many other still significantly better than SD but sometimes a bit noisy and not very detailed.

BRs (Philips HTS 3560): 9/10 - What beautiful pure - something nice out. Nothing to complain about.

3D: 10/10 - Very, very nice 3D image. The effect is very good and makes up 55 inches of course a lot of fun. I have tried Samy's adventure, Rapunzel and Iron Man 3. depth effect is very good in all 3 and due to the passive method is a) easy, b) low and c) child-friendly :-)

Conclusion:

It's simple: you get a lot for your money, there is no question. But not everything is perfect, so you most likely for more money and can get even more. At the end everyone must know for himself how much it is worth.
But those who are looking for a very well-equipped with Internet TV, 3D and good image but it does not want to spend on the 1000, which is very well served by the Grundig 55 VLE 922 in my eyes.
And as I already mentioned at the outset to make for ~ 700 for what is offered eh nothing wrong. Perfect other televisions are not; possibly only annoys you with 700 less than at 1000 above ;-)

Addendum: I once out of interest connected a netbook via VGA cable. In normal benefits of Windows etc I can not detect any input lag here.
And certainly not a "swimming of the mouse pointer" as described by others. There seems therefore to be differences.
