That bothered me, however, very. Both Panasonic went back and I have a 40 "Samsung ordered F6500. In general, that's a reasonable TV, but my model went despite native 100Hz panel with certain color combinations annoying streaks. In general, the panel seemed quite sluggish, as the operator, which just with HBBTV activated very slowly expired.
I had kept the Samsung anyway, but I was never really satisfied. The sluggish behavior sealed also when playing the sound through the AV receiver again because this was much earlier than the picture. But something can be everything slow down with various settings. Since I was just not really warm with the Samsung, I have this ultimately sold.
What had in common the Panasonic and Samsung, was a native 100Hz panel and an intermediate image computation beyond.
The more you put this, the smoother the picture was, but my opinion, the more unnatural, which is why I have this always activated only at low speed.
Then a last attempt I wanted to start with Sony, also because the television are supposed to be for gaming with the best.
I have "fluctuated W805B and 705B. Since I virtually no 3D look, if so, then it is more gimmick, but I put on it because no value, I am ultimately responsible for the 705B in 42" between the 42 chosen.
Friday noon ordered via premium shipping, the TV was delivered directly Saturdays at 08:30 clock - absolutely great!
A somewhat uneasy feeling I had, because the Sony has only a native 50Hz Panel and an inter-frame calculation to 200Hz CMR (Clear Motion Rate) - more on that later.
Direct games consoles and Blu-ray player were hung on the AV receiver to the new TV.
### First image impression and calibration: ###
Have the TV after setting, which was easy in my opinion, directly in the "Cinema 1" mode switched.
The picture I liked quite well right away. I have tested with the "Hobbit Part 1" and "The Dark Knight Rises".
However, in my ignorance, I had to "0" in the preferences the Gama-setting of "-2" on.
The image appeared to me by a bit dull.
I then again the image settings are reset and only the image enhancer (contrast enhancement, black enhancement, etc.) off. Gama this time I have left as "-2 = Default". The result was a much more powerful image, but I agreed the color is not quite satisfied, very bright picture portions seemed a little stressed too much green.
Thereupon I reduced the value of "Green Gain" to "-3" and "Green Bias" to "-1" points in the white balance.
The result was a very homogenous, warm (but not too warm) ... simply picture perfect!
(Never thought that a little less green such an influence).
For my eyes that now looks just perfect. Of course I have no measuring technology and therefore can the white point not professional calligraphic brate, for me siehts definitely now simply top off.
With the settings I tested again Hobbit, Batman and additionally Avatar and Game of Thrones following.
As I said - PERFECT
### Gaming ###
Then PS3, PS4 and WiiU has been thrown.
GTA V I've never seen so crystal clear, FIFA 14 Demo on the PS4 also top and in Mario Kart 8 means WiiU I could not get out of the astonishment. The match is due to the 60Hz anyway very fluid, but on the Sony was again a very different feel (which had previously played on the Samsung with Game Mode).
The game runs smoothly and something of the commands of something felt right, better not go. The razor-sharp image, Best Mario Kart experience for Always).
At Sony, I had of course also activates the Game Mode and retain all previous settings screen by "Cinema 1".
I think about the image quality I need say no more :)
### Moving pictures in films / 24p Playback ###
How early was mentioned to me the panel with only 50Hz with a foreboding in the abdomen.
But that was unfounded, 24p movies run smoothly, but not as smooth as the Panasonic or Samsung with activated CMR.
I do not miss the Zwischenbildberechnug. Only for horizontal panning shots you take the typical 24p bucking true.
The one has in the cinema but yes also.
So if you are not on these blurred images, to do with the Sony absolutely nothing wrong.
I've also done a "pendulum test" of Burosch. At Samsung, the pendulum swung slightly liquid across the screen, but moved for a very long tail behind him (streaks).
At Sony, the pendulum is not quite as smooth, but it pulls absolutely no tail. Schlieren are non-existent at Sony.
### Conclusion ###
Me I've the Sony for my needs taken the bull's eye, and I'm pretty picky about image errors.
The Sony has even minimal Clouding & Flashlights on a completely black background (especially the two lower corners), but that was also available from other manufacturers. In practice mode you can not perceive these illumination problems, especially when the backlight is not set to Max. And one has turned light lighting.
So if you can do without 3D and emphasis on gaming, I can absolutely recommend you the Sony 705B.
Addendum: As far as I know, the 32 "version of something worse input lag values, but still very good.
The 42 "version is 13 - 14ms input lag, the 32" version at just over 30ms. If one reads so on various internet sites.
The menu and HBBTV functions seem to me very fluid as opposed to Samsung, which would definitely still potential for improvement. Other Smart TV features I do not use so far.
