COB (Chip On Board) LEDs are the newest craze and leave because of the central, extremely bright LED spots finally halogen-like constructions to.
Review:
+ The brightness of 450 lumens do not consider an exaggeration - the spots are noticeably brighter than my 35 Watt halogen spots - with 1/7 of the power consumption. Chill in the direction of a 45-50W replacement.
+ The reflector design is pleasing and look at the ceiling in the recessed spots from at first glance like halos.
+ The housing is built very valuable and weighty and the gray metal is probably also as a cooling
+ The metal edge forward acting class in many spots - who was thought merely with many other spots that make white?
+ The front plate is flat, or slightly inward - thus mounting in ceiling spots with snap rings presents no difficulties
+ Through the glass, a spot can be so also with the suction cups (those little black Pömpel) to install and remove - that goes for example with many other LED lamps is no longer..
+ 60 ° discharge angle I personally super - which is not as tight as with halos, but still leaves to accent lighting, but it is wider
Note: mW there these spots but also with narrow angles (35 ° -40 °) - who needs it.
+ I do not see any color distortion, white-yellow color gradients or wreaths. The illumination is simply perfect.
+ No hum, no humming.
+ No flicker with 50 Hz - the luminous image is perfectly quiet.
+ No image retention or blink when turned off (see my note below!)
+ Starts fast, almost imperceptible to 100%. No start-up behavior.
o The overall length (incl. GU10 connector pins) is longer than the norm. Where this is important, you have to measure again or possibly refrain. There are here vs. 57mm. normally about 51 / 52mm with GU10 halogen.
But unfortunately that is still a commonly found issue in high power LED bulbs.
o The 2700 Kelvin may be right or wrong - the light is not quite as warm as halogen. But: it is, in my view, "correctly", ie it does not emphasize yellow, red or green on somehow, but keeps the color in.
Although I must confess that it may be due to the sheer brightness of the spots that the light looks a bit cooler - a 50W halogen I did not here for comparison. I can already imagine that the accounts for which.
And I had similarly designed COB LEDs here, who had a tendency to let's say (sorry!) "Pipi" -Yellow ... :(
Such effects do not occur here.
Note: one of 10 bulbs was sensitive to line cross-talk, that any capacitive effects from the neighboring line. When the second circuit was turned on, one of the lamps flashed regularly. This was replaced easily and free of LED24.cc.
Note 2: For dimming I can not say anything - there were exactly these spots without dimming, I would have bought this because I do not need this capability.
Total: The lights are awesome, simply. Now our bathroom is so bright, at 1/7 power, that I almost think we would get along with fewer watts. But too much light, I see right here rather than on luxury problem :)
My goal is to be able to replace halogen GU10 mindlessly with LED technology, a small piece has become more tangible.
I forgive 5 * because * 5 are awarded here at Amazon for spots which are less close to the target.
If we add the amount of light with a, we are at a factor of 10 in the power saving!
