Reading this book, one has the impression that writing follows the thought of the author. It is a novel but in this novel, one feels an autobiography. Is that correct? In any case, the effect is successful. We believe in it completely and is committed to the characters, not just "Nanie". This is a particularly moving book that I read in one go tonight. It allows to find the same childhood emotion so many of us did not have to "Nanie" but we easily associate Nanie our grandmother and emotions of our youth.
