Unfortunately, the Mini Cajon sounds like a small wooden box (unsurprisingly - there is a small wooden box :-)). The well-known from the normal large Cajon sound comes on but not nearly. The Mini Cajon is also very softly knocking on the wooden floor makes a much better sound.
We have the part sent back, our son now gets something different for Christmas. It definitely does not belong in the category musical instrument, but in the category Toys.
