Truly a product of AKG?

Motivation to buy this product, was quite simply the brand. Apart from the packaging, which - I hope not owed my clumsiness - can not be opened without destruction my disappointment with the sound quality of this headset is hard to put into words. I have certainly not have high expectations - but what arrives at the ear here is (naturally perceived subjectively) nothing but noise! The basses are at low volumes underrepresented (bass reflex system?); If you play music (quality = 320kByte Stream) a little louder, midrange and treble come through so that you really lose the desire to hear on.
