First of all:
I use the lift only under Windows.

I would love to go into detail on various aspects of the use of hubs on Windows. The problem: There is nothing to report, except that it works by simply plugging.
I use the hub in Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. He was in each case (also under Win 7!) Installed automatically, without using additional drivers. This applies in particular to the network adapter!
The use of a USB 3.0 port is easy, at last I have two additional ports are available. The speed I can not make fullest, the 900 mA current hand me also. In practice, the LEDs are on the network, indicating whether it is operated in 10/100 Mb or 1 Gb mode.
But now my personal Kracher:
I have the Hub connected to my Windows Tablet, mind you on a USB-2 port. To my delight, the LAN port works here in Gb mode. Of course not, the full bandwidth of the network is available, but it is full speed USB 2. Thus my file transfers to 22 MB / s are possible over the net where wireless is slow or non-existent.
I can recommend the stroke without hesitation.
