Purpose of very poor quality.
Mounting the TV on the complicated and delicate base, and once in place, the weight of the TV down systematically fastening down (so that we are left with a sloping TV).
The dimensions of the support are far too small to inspire a lasting solidity.
In short, I sent it back and I do not recommend it.
