I have hundreds of gigabytes of data and I needed a large enough disk for back up without problems. I chose the Minimus for the quality of its design, its aluminum enclosure and small size in particular. This drive is smaller than other desktop drives that I have had. It is very quiet and does not heat. Finally, the automatic backup software and data coding is included.
