Acquired as SOHO server I wish especially a fast network connection of a RAID system with high data security. After initial 70-80 MB / s transfer rate are after about 9 months still 15 MB / s left, which after getting used to SSDs is of course totally unacceptable. Big trouble arose through additional indexing and creating thumbnails of all images in the System folder "photo", which requires unacceptable long. This folder is automatically indexed, and 5000 JPG files of compact cameras need for indexing 2.5 days, a larger photo collection needed more than 3 weeks (!). During this time, the disk drives klackern> continuously Shared Folder folder "photo" rename - then peace, and preserves any files. A possible network connection in Windows must be set up with the new name of course.
