Absolutely unacceptable, however, is the lack of a Line In - port.
No way, a laptop or other MP3 players than to join Apple (and even the iPod, not all)

USB flash drive as the source works in principle, but as an indication there any ID3 tags, or at least file names but only numbers (Track1, Track2 ...)
