The power cable is a standard cable Euro plug to double socket with 120 cm length, which is connected to the power supply.
This power supply unit comprising a green light control, delivers to manufacturer's specification 2 amps at 12 volts DC .. From the AC adapter leads a permanently installed cable of about 90 cm length. At the end of the cable is a connector which is connected to the mating connector of the infrared receiver. From the receiver box then a further plug connector leading to a corresponding port on the LED Strip.
In other words: You can bridge good 2 meters to the power supply from the wall outlet to the actual Strip.
Until the transition of the power cord to Infrarotbox wiring is black, the Infrarotbox and the actual Strip have the color white.
The back of the strip is provided with a double-sided, white tape of the prestigious 3M. Of course, the tape is already applied to the Strip and the back is also provided with the adhesive protection, so that the user still has the full adhesive strength available for its adhesive attempt. For me that sticking was also a great success; even around corners, it has not been solved.
Who the 5 meter, it must be much, can shorten the strip frequently, all 9 LEDs appear a small scissors icon on the Strip, here may each be shortened. But please remember: Always cut from the opposite side of the connector, otherwise only a short end depends on the plug.

I then still the ideal application for this Strip found: I have several kits of Lampada Romantica (there is also here at Amazon) standard lamp or lighting column built. The parts of this lamp made of a white translucent plastic.

If the strip is not too close to the outer edge of the light, the colors of the single LEDs mingle then too homogeneous color and a warm white is suddenly possible.
Varied color effects or single soothing colors make this lamp a real eye catcher.
The energy consumption keeps also here in limits. With the FRITZ! DECT 200 I did not quite 20 Watt measured the hour, based on full length of 5 meters.
