I bought the i1 Display Pro to calibrate and profile both my PC screen and my home theater projector. To my regret, however, it is absolutely unsuitable for this; Despite countless attempts with every imaginable settings, it is completely impossible should get with this device a neutral gray scale. In my case this was expressed then always in a blue to red tinge, depending on brightness (0-100 IRE). It may well be that the colors themselves and their nuances are shown in greater detail than before, but this is irrelevant, since color inaccuracies are perceived significantly interfering with low saturation, and it produces a lot of this colorimeter.
The problem with the whole thing is probably the fact that these devices are calibrated never really right from the factory. Because, amazingly, the chromatic aberrations were highly reproducible and always the same. The measurement itself would seem to be relatively reliable, only that just reliable false colors are measured. :-)
Ultimately, I can therefore only advise every front to purchase the i1 Display Pro.
