Unfortunately wrong DVI socket

I get this adapter from work and have to say that I find it useless in this version. The large display port goes directly to cable or simple adapter and also a simple HDMI converter and possibly an adapter to DVI-D would be enough. But ok, some, it might want to have everything in one place. But one thing about this adapter / converter is not standardkonfort: The DVI-I connector suggests the possibility to connect a VGA adapter, but here go only digital signals, so that a DVI-D port would be appropriate (in the VGA adapter is not reinpasst). For this deception, there are deductions. Although here is clearly that it's all about digital signals, but I did not buy the adapter itself and have played around for a while until I looked up whether the device the function may simply not have.
