The aim of this collection is to enable fans of the saga to dive back in on consoles and PC of the present generation and to introduce neophytes to the players, this extraordinary work.
This collection includes 3 major installment of the license, namely:
-Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (released in 2002);
-Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (released in 2004);
-Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (released in 2010);
These three games have enjoyed a working remastering of the images and are offered in high definition. CAUTION: If the graphical improvement is noticeable compared to images of previous versions, the graphics, however, remain below what we can produce better today. This is a remastering, no new graphics!
Most of this collection:
-production Kojima did a great job to get these three games are accessible to all, with a small summarized the history of each album, to present the newcomers that could be lost in a complex history spanning several games.
-For Each of the three games, a manual was provided on the disc to explain the commands and some aspects of the game. Advise and advanced techniques were also provided, from official guides.
-The First two Metal Gear 2D & Metal Gear Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, released respectively in 1987 and 1990 on MSX were added to this collection. A boon for fans who was missing two episodes!
-500 Extra missions, challenges include tasks set in the context of MGS2, the external scenario, were given in bonus game, which significantly extends the lifespan.
The - this collection:
-Damage That this collection is incomplete ... We can understand the lack of MGS4, released in 2008 on PS3, but the absence of the first game released in 1999 on the first PlayStation, one that revealed to the world the license may -being the most cult opus of the license, is difficult to accept. It seems for reasons of graphic adaptation, which those of Playstation to HD would have been too laborious. It also regrets the lack unjustified Metal Gear Portable Ops, released in 2007 on PSP.
-A Rich work, (too much?), The gameplay a bit old school might confuse newcomers. For the fans: the Metal Gear Solid license will not reveal all his wealth to the most patient and curious players!
In summary, includes 3 great games and lots of goodies for a reasonable price! This collection is an excellent opportunity to discover and rediscover Metal Gear Solid. Unmissable!
