I run the unit in a 3 year old laptop with 2 GB of RAM on Vista. the installation of both the driver and the software was smooth. The software found in the network, a new version that I have also installed.
Everything worked immediately, station search, watch and record television. The supplied antenna is sufficient for me in the big city, the magnet in the base is convenient. for the first shot I have the computer continue to be used, read mails. This had an impact on the inclusion of "Chopped images" and - even worse - the sound went after several seconds. I then turned the priority of the software to the highest level, all other applications are closed and try again. Perfect lip-sync, no problem.

Nachbemerkungen after a few weeks use: As written, I use the stick mainly to accommodate. When TV signal is (unfortunately), the picture and sound are not necessarily linked. Disorders of the recording, for example because the computer needs time for anything else, speak in run-time differences. Are the once in a recording "in", this will not be in sync again. But it helps when playing may briefly go into "stop" or to press a few seconds fast forward.
My recommendation, if the computer is prepared for inclusion
1) reboot
2) Netwerkkabel out. Once Microsoft transferred in the backdrop several Megbytes for updates that recording was unusable.
3) Start the software. Only then scheduled recordings are written to an internal timer, after restarting the computer that's just to get away.
4) The computer may be in the power saving mode, thus making no noise or light. You can set the recording so that the computer even after again landing in this mode, and it works well.
This procedure works for my HP laptop from 2007, upgraded to 2 GB of RAM with Windows Vista reasonably. In längerne films nevertheless drop outs and sync loss. With a powerful desktop machine many problems are certainly lower.
When it comes down to it very, you should in .ts - record format of digital data stream from the antenna. But then you need a converter program, and this is inconvenient. I recommend for such cases Xmedia Recode, which is easy to find via Google.
