Actually, the lens would receive for its Super Value smooth 5 Stars. It is my opinion the Tamron 70-300 clearly superior and only these two have been in this focal length range, the change-over to 95 centimeters minimum distance. That's very important to me for my favorite objects like butterflies or dragonflies, with 1.5 meters one is simply too far away from the subject. Unfortunately, the Sigma is but completely useless for my Sony. After three attempts (1 X 70-300 standard, 2 times APO), but I have given up. After every 3-4 weeks, the focus drive was broken and as I can see various forums I am not an isolated case.
