It's been one month that I use the epilator pulsed light and this is my balance sheet, compared with Philips Lumea.
Regarding handling: it consists of a base connected to a handset, the head of the epilator. It feels to use a phone 70s, more cumbersome. The Lumea is much more manageable.
There is no battery, it is mandatory to connect the to use it (the positive point is that it is therefore not necessary to charge it before use). The Lumea has a battery and wireless (transportable but must be loaded).
On the base there is a skin coloring tester that differentiates each area of the body of tweezers. It has 5 different intensities. You can not start waxing that when tested the skin pigmentation. This process is very safe and is absent from the Lumea.
Once tested pigmentation, place a gel supplied with the epilator on the flash area. This is an aqueous gel, whose role is to increase the efficiency of the flash. The Lumea works without freezing.
There is only one head and therefore a single flash zone size (Lumea has two heads).
We must flasher areas previously shaved and gelled, thereby failing to assume shaved recently (either epilator or wax) because the hairs
must be present in the skin. Moreover, the skin should be quite clear and rather dark hair.
Before the first hair removal, it is necessary to test and wait 24 hours to see if the skin does not react.
1st waxing: strong feelings of heat to each flash despite a level 3/5 indicated by the device. I did not feel these sensations of heat at a higher level of flash with the Lumea.
There is a security that will flash when the power is applied to the skin and at the hard areas, security does not engage (ditto Lumea).
I put about 30 minutes to do everything. The gel makes it easier to know which zone has been flashed.
After a week, my hair grows back but my skin looks softer.
I wait two weeks between each waxing, and I do not need to shave only once now. My hair is thinner, especially in the armpits and
the shirt and skin is softer.
Overall I'm rather satisfaiste this epilator, less maneuverable than the Lumea but obviously more efficient.
The price, high enough, justifies its purchase, it pays for itself pretty quickly when you see the price practiced in institutes for IPL.
