I'll make it short: Very ingenious camera.
Compared to my old D90 better ISO performance is already really useful. You can quite painless photograph 1600 with the D7000 at ISO and depending on the lighting situation also ISO 3200 is still perfectly acceptable. If you still something denoised in the post, the images are real presentable. That alone is a reason to buy.
But the D7000 is not often advertised FX-killer. The sensor of my D700 makes it a lot more, particularly regarding dynamic range and detail. Especially in the high ISO areas of the FX sensor is then but powerful. But there are also still even 1000 between the cameras.
Class is also the 100% viewfinder. You underestimated this feature often, but seen to 100%, which was later on the image is already an advantage. That has not even my D700.
The speed to make the D7000 with about 6 frames per second and a good impression. As you can already achieve at sport events with something and gets even with rapid movements for the right moment.
Great feature is of course the video mode with full HD resolution. However, one must not be blinded by the autofocus feature is located. Although the works somehow, but unfortunately the lens by pumping too much, so that it is almost useless during filming. But that's actually also clear, as it indeed is only a contrast autofocus and now time can not help it. I wonder if any manufacturer gets eventually solved this problem. That being said, I find the video quality level.
The 16MP sensor I like to use for gigapixel panoramas. Together with the Crop-neck obtained a very high resolution. Miener opinion, the 16MP are unnecessary for "normal" photography. Since Nikon might have put it in the ISO power even more. But still Nikon succeeded with the sensor a good compromise.
Much more important than all the technical features is the fact that the D7000 in the photographer-day super hits. I've already done all the shootings with her while I was the camera not disappointed. Autofocus sits super, image quality is excellent and the handling is absolutely Nikon-like, that is a lot of buttons with Direktugriff to key functions.
The D7000 is an ingenious camera, which is already close to the professional league with its functions. Selling point is especially the ISO performance.
