The burner is working properly, but unfortunately the USB 3.0 cable was defective. Does not speak for quality ...
I found this out only after long Try:
- A notebook launched with plugged USB cable is not (only 3 USB ports)
- A PC reported the burner on and off constantly
- One USB 2.0 port worked the burner
- With a micro-USB-2 cable (from your phone), the burner also went on Notebook
=> Cable defective once USB3 was used (plug extension of micro-USB3)

The cable because I was a bit too short anyway, I ordered a new, longer cable. Now anything goes. Actually, I would have to return everything, but I did not too much effort. Well Amazon, you've probably also saves labor ...
