The USB port of my scanner meant that the USB cable was protruding vertically and quite cumbersome. With this adapter, the cable goes in parallel to the scanner housing and interfere much less. Since the plastic coating is relatively thick on the male side, I had it with a paper knife chamfer, so that the connector goes completely into the scanner connector. The adapter plugged firmly and reliably - and working properly. Is money certainly worth for me!
