Overall, I am satisfied with the product. Both surfaces are very useful for gaming but does nothing if one only of office (normal since it's a gamer mat). I have a preference for smooth surface that gives a very good gliding effect of the mouse. The wrist rest is very good, can be a little stiff but personally it does not bother me. With my old mouse pad (normal carpets) I had wrist pain, now with this new carpet I have not bad at all. The carpet is great. Some see AC as a disadvantage because it takes a lot of space on the desktop but I find that on the contrary it is a good asset. I always ran out of space on the traditional rug so the Razer Vespula is quite to my expectations. Reading other reviews I've seen apparently the Razer logo that is on the wrist rest tends to quickly crumble and it was the case for me too. The logo has quickly disappeared. The big negative is that the carpet surfaces wear out very quickly. I have my carpet for about five months and I've used quite extensively. The smooth surface has worn so that the mouse trouble slipping. So I had to return the carpet to continue to have a good glide. For this price is quite disappointing. People who use a lot so their PCs are either provide the purchase of at least 2 Vespula per year or use the Vespula that when they play (and use a more classic mat for the rest of the time).
So to summarize:
Positives: - Large sliding surface. - Wrist avoiding pain after several hours of play. - 2 different surfaces to suit just about every player. - Easy cleaning. - The carpet clings well to the office, it will not move alone.
Weak points: - The price (a little expensive). - The surfaces wear quickly and the logo on the wrist rests. - The wrist rest can be a bit too hard for some people.
