Look and feel + + + + +
Both look and feel of the headset are great! Nothing creaks or cracks, no unnecessary grooves or crevices, very well made - there's nothing to complain about.
Operation + + + + -
The on / off switch is a slide switch with color coding inside (as you would from the mute switch of the newer iPhones also knows), which I find very good and helpful.
The volume buttons have a clean pressure point and're easy to locate (which the most important is yes, if the device is worn on the ear). Some getting used to for me was that above the 'Quiet' and down the 'volume up' button sits. Say exactly opposite each logic and at any volume rocker of smartphones.
Failed I find the mute function, you have to 'Lauter'- and' Leiser'-button simultaneously. This succeeds only partially - this is either my fingers thick / hard enough or the keys and the whopping resistance when pressing cause I do not (ever) catch the keys simultaneously.
Voice / sound quality + + - - -
Probably the biggest gripe for me is the quality of the microphone or the built-in speaker. In my corporate smartphone (Samsung Galaxy Ace) I am relatively well understood, even though I have a feeling that is more highly sought after than when I telephone without a headset. On a Samsung Galaxy Gio, the voice quality is similar to well classified.
Do I use the M70, however, with my old Blackberry 8100, then the acoustic intelligibility is the opposite at just under 50%, which of course is unacceptable. Voice quality is described here as a lot of noise, where the noise often drowns out the spoken or intelligibility much concentration of the other person is still possible. I must say that I have always found myself in an absolutely quiet room. Background noise in the open air such as. Transport or wind preventing any rational communication.
The same bad transmission quality I observed when I call via D-Link DBT-120 Bluetooth dongle on my PC. Again, I had to swerve a little disappointed for a conference call on my wired headset.
Maybe it's an older version of Bluetooth receivers that determine this poor quality. I can not exactly say it.
Conclusion:
I'll keep the M70 headset, as it offers a quite good quality, high level of comfort and service for my Samsung Galaxy Ace Smartphone.
For my BlackBerry 8100 or the PC via Bluetooth USB dongle older I can not use as hoped, here the transmission quality is poor. Too bad ..
