This review refers to the BenQ TW519, which is identical to the MW519. Did the projector not buy here, but since I already here have helped purchase decisions often customer reviews, I will write something here to.
Basically the idea is to save money and look for good value for firecrackers out not a bad thing, but here I can confidently advise against the device! Why? Well to make a long story short, here is a list of things that I was able to experience so with the projector:
- The device detects often not the incoming signals or resolutions and remains on the BenQ-start side with "HDMI recognizes" hanging (yes, that's how it is there!)
- The device is no longer recognized after a few trips to the 3D world, the remote control. Here helped a reset to factory defaults. What I would point at the next very annoying ...
- In the first reset the device to factory defaults, he hung back on the BenQ-side and flashed and squeaked like crazy. Could only finish, as I have withdrawn the power plug. The result is that the lamp was previously about 90 hours, then 155 !!!
- The remote control problem came back there 3 times and then stops again until the next reset. 2 Resets ran smoothly, the last lamp had already gotten back 35 hours to !!!
- After about 230 hours of operation, ie genuine 130 hours (see above) started the beamer to fiepen to nasty. First, every now and then, having been taken over. Really annoying!
- After about 10 more hours also caught the fans on to tubes, as the camp would have a away.
I knew that I can expect from a projector for which I paid 399 miracles. I am then also ready to take an inferior black level and a slightly louder machine in buying, but at least it was supposed to function in its basic functions too! The thing is miles away from! If you read on the net about trouble with the projector smart, one finds surely quite often the same sounding statements or problems.
Apart from that, I had a HD-ready DLP projector with HDMI expected a little more sharpness. I constantly had to readjust the urge to focus. It also still noticeable that the focus is not homogeneous over the entire image area. Is he set down sharply, it is no longer there above. Did then asked the center focus and given me satisfied with the less sharp edges. This is a bit unfortunate, but I could get over because of the price.
An equally shared experience was 3D. In some scenes really cool, in others a little mushy from black and light black. Movies with lots of dark image content you can save (Tron Legacy or The Amazing Spiderman). Movies with lots of lighter scenes are acceptable (Transformers 3 or Life of Pi). Have looked with Sainsonic 144hz glasses. Setter was a HTPC with PowerDVD 13 Ultra. May be due to the glasses or the setter of course that the 3D pleasure can only be described as mediocre.
What I really like about the beamer is its brightness.
The unit will now go back. Unfortunately, I am already well over the first 14 days as otherwise I would have given him my experience today right back. Now I have to do to the well a little longer, or I do happiness and 2. maybe does what it was built me ;-)
Conclusion: Saves you money, do not be fooled by price or features and have a look somewhere else around or invest more money, as long as the application with your Beamer to go towards home cinema pleasure! Pity!
