The 40 "Grundig unit came (by Hermes) slightly but neatly packaged with me on.
The construction was not a problem.
The occasional bemänglte stand-mount I find completely sufficient, since the stand together adds positively to the TV and secure two small screws only against slipping. A hold function practice this is not enough.
The image size of 40 "compared to 32" is a significant gain.
What bothered me was the image quality.
Compared to my old unit (not with LED but still with fluorescent tubes) dropped me the following particularly negatively on:
-> Initial Setup quite bright and me (and others) somehow uncomfortable.
-> Fine detail in colors (especially skin tones) compared to old TV far too undifferentiated. Bright areas "muddying" somehow.
Who but spectacular images like settings and preferred as they are frequently used in television stores, is certainly operated quite well with the image.
But even after adjusting the image on my preferred viewing habits bothered me still the losses of color fine drawing.
The sound is compared to the old Toschiba an improvement, but is not, for example, to consult with a cheap sound bar.
Since we're on the sound: what bothers me is the fixed level of the digital optical audio output. Here I would have liked the option of a volume control me. So I have to down the volume control it on the soundbar. (Was with my old configuration, the different). I gladly would have had a well-functioning automatic level adjustment, I got this device but not out.
Reception default I have satellite, cable, Windows PC via DVI tried and external Kathrein satellite receiver via DVI. Here I found the picture on the built-in satellite tuner better than the Kathrein. PC image struck me as very good.
The program lists of satellite and cable were created fairly quickly in service search and could be reasonably edit. Specifically, I have not but that concerns me.
Between the individual tuners, DVI and other inputs must be chosen in a menu and then the corresponding input. For this you need different keys on the remote control. In my opinion, other manufacturers have the better solution, because you can often zap there with only one key between the inputs.
Another great Kritickpunkt is in the description, although listed component input, but supposedly is available on the device only via VGA for me. The a component input (Y, Pb, Pr) 3 RCA jacks normally usual missing. The provided via SCART RGB input is not adäquterer replacement.
But what I have missed most when compared to my old TV, is a brightness sensor that controls the brightness depending on the ambient brightness. Without ever going to the menu and readjust the brightness awkward hand, a good image in different lighting conditions is not possible.
If at least more than one user setup would exist, one could simplify setting despite missing sensor.
The EPG is loaded compared to my old device quite fast and is quite clear for me.
Other functions such as switching, USB media playback or program selection are clear to me too slow.
My conclusion: Because of the big picture, I would have kept the TV almost, but relevant to me above restrictions were me then too large.
