Not I want to deny that the C4 a "better" sound than a normal player. The only question is whether you can hear the no golden ears. After comparing with an iPod and a Zen from Creative I meant to imagine a larger space and more powerful bass at C4. Unfortunately, I was able to C4 in a blind test not even distinguish them from the other players, which probably speaks against this impression. The test way, I have not only made themselves. The result was the same also in others.
For this you have to say, perhaps, that I very well hear a difference in the various headphones. So I can very well distinguish between a DT 990, a T1 or HD 650 and hear clear differences. I want to make the product so not bad, but simply give people a help, who have a similar hearing like me and wonder if the purchase is worthwhile for them. Ultimately, you can decide only after a private test this anyway.
I tested the C4 way, with a DT 990 and a Ultrasone DJ1.
For me, not worth the price for this device. In addition, the C4 anywhere can really convince (the sound admitted times outside ... about one can argue as I said). He is clumsy, the buttons difficult to operate (keys cumbersome and without pressure point) confusing and slow and the software. The only argument for the C4 would be the use of high-impedance headphones, but there is more promising devices. For example, the DX100 from iBasso.
