The vertical bars are two-shared and are plugged together with an additional connector. Here were some not 100% fit, but is still ok. Just on the middle of the shelf can be placed no floor because there this connector of the corner profiles sit.
The instructions provided (1 page A4) was useless. All assembly operations were squeezed together on tiny images on A5. As you could see nothing. The quality of the "b / w copy" was so bad, that everything can be seen only dimly.
The structure is so simple that you do not really need the manual.
With common sense you get it that way through (see instructions below).
The horizontal bars are to me personally a bit high (about 5 cm). This takes a little off the place, especially if you make the soil quite closely. I have the floors in about 35cm distance, the lowest floor I have about 50cm from the floor, so I can still slide down directly a large bucket underneath. Of the ca.35cm the other 4 subjects then go each about 5.5cm (incl. The resting MDF) "lost".
The horizontal struts at front and rear are again connected in the middle with an additional crossbar. This have the MDF shelves in the middle again extra grip and prevents the webs push apart the front and back and the MDF could press.
There were no sharp edges, and I have nowhere to cut me build.
The MDF boards are a bit thinner than I had suspected. But is perfectly adequate. However, the sheets smell something on the solvent or so. I hope that still flies the next day.
The stability is very good. I wanted it yet screw it to the wall, but it is also so very stable, so I've left it.
my conclusion:
For the price you get a good shelf with plenty of space and good stability, the structure is quite well alone.
Whether one can weigh a total of 875kg, it, however, I dare to doubt anything. For the vertical bars which quite below would have to bear the whole weight, but then a little thin.
A star deduction, because of poor instructions, the somewhat imprecise connecting the corner profiles and because of the smell, the hopefully still flies.
Here still my tips for building (alone):
- Only not yet plugged together the vertical webs to full length
- Before consider exactly what level you want to have the floors
- Assemble all parts properly with NEM (rubber) hammer
Step 1: Insert the rubber feet on the 4 corner webs
Step 2: 2 each corner webs 2 each of the short side webs connect me (now one has 2 small heads)
Connect these two wires to the 4 of the long side struts (front / rear): Step 3
Step 4: Insert the central intermediate webs and forking out the MDF shelves
now the lower half is already set up and quite stable ...
Step 5: only now attach the connector for the corner profiles and start with the upper half
Step 6: only one side (left or right) Insert the two upper corner profiles and 3 the side connector for floors
Step 7: As step 6 only the other side (left or right)
Step 8: Now the 3 posterior ribs insert after the 3 front struts, then the central webs
Step 9: the last 3 MDF boards are top finish ..
These instructions are for 3 floors on the top and 2 on the bottom half. Those who like to have to divide else adjust the instructions accordingly.
