Had initially somewhat reluctant to buy this device, especially because here yet haunt a few negative reviews.
The decisive factor for me was the end but that, in the range below 500 - EUR lacking suitable alternatives: In addition to the Bluetooth function (nowadays should actually be taken for granted) "had" it be a silver housing necessarily because of existing components. Equipment Yamaha z. B. retired from it.
I just got so for the Onkyo TX-NR626 (S) decided and this not regret a single second in the sequence. Most criticisms of the negative reviews I can not confirm. The unit makes up to a bit cheap-looking volume knob a really solid impression, and I have no problems with the back panel: The Onkyo has due to its versatility, of course many of them, and, logically, must lie solely for reasons of space relatively close to each other, to connect the speakers designed from my point of view but completely unproblematic.
Also the calibration using the included microphone room analysis was very easy. You have to say that the speaker with me can not be placed entirely symmetrical due to the spatial situation / furniture, the sound quality is still perfect, a manual re-adjustment is not necessary. It all boxes channels do not necessarily have to be covered, rather, the system calculates the optimum level depending on the existing pit number. In principle, can also be operated as a simple stereo amplifier Onkyo thus, the sound quality is very good here as well. What more do you want!
My only real criticism is the only available electronically and also slightly chaotic instructions, but I would not want to pull off the same one star.
From me a buy recommendation!
