verschlimmbesserte class console

About the sense or nonsense of the PS3 was pretty much everything debated more than once, so I'm writing this (as a PlayStation fan the first hour), only the following:
I like a video game system, both offline and online and replaced with my Blu-ray player more than adequate (although use only original media for photos, home videos and anything else comes still my PC to use).

Why only 2 stars (3 stars means: like it, so 2)? Explanation follows (who has no time jumping straight to the penultimate paragraph ..):

After I proudly primal Playstation held approximately '95 in hand and also the day of publication of these 2 still landed for proud 869.00 DM at the last minute, the purchase of 3 only a logical consequence was (for me;)). Unfortunately, I was just at this time think that I would have to save a bit because 599,00 Euro was pretty much it, so I tried my luck with a well-known auction site, which I then paid with 420.00 euros empty money, since no console was delivered and the "seller" (I call him for the sake of honor Just looking Markus Zimnicki) could not be made from the always helpful police find (I had even just name, address, phone, bank account details and confirmation of my transfer from the Bank + at least 4 more criminal charges against him other buyers Well ..) - but is another story ..
All right, then I bought a fat lady with noble surface and enthusiasm pure, both from the performance, as well as the smooth running and my first Blu-ray experience. 4 years she stopped by brave before the drive passed (was traded), and six months later, the cardiac death by YLOD. After a few "self-made revivals" and a long time of abstinence, she had then the new Slim soft (CECH-2504A), which, although not as noble looked and caused pure drive noise, but daddeln even after 2 hours or movie watching an absolutely tolerable Lüfterton fabricated (at level 1 you would have thought that she is from) - up to this point for me is the almost perfect console .. but when's the donkey is too good, he goes on the ice:
Stupidly, offered a famous multimedia department store at (recently) in buying a PS3 with 320GB 70,00 euro discount about 2 years later. That reminds me of the Prospectus, the silver very well-liked and one of my buddies somehow never money for so had a Sony system, but quite like to have one, I entered my favorable to him off and took me as a promotional package (CECH-3004B in silver) - bad mistake !!
After the first launch of this console I regretted this action: absolutely annoying and too loud for a just switched PlayStation fan noise accompanied by a singing Beiton which neither came from the drive from the hard drive. As a hobby PC hobbyists I concluded quite clearly a fan bearing damage at an early stage, ergo back into the business, errors described (in my opinion) and pushed for an exchange. Seller said, noise is absolutely normal (well, the acoustics in my living room is probably different from the store), silver consoles to swap not gabs, so I took a black with (CECH-3004A, but fits better to my TV) , Home connected again .. and the same problem .. "class" I thought not only that less light LED's, no, great new K-model has also got the same one probably cheaper fan.
Because I always wanted to know how it looks technically guarantee with 7200UPM hard drives, so I called Sony and described the problem. Information provided by the super-friendly support personnel (here kudos to Sony !!) who thankfully spoke High German:
=> The K model (ie with me CECH-3004A) and the J-model (CECH-2504A my previous, if I am not mistaken) have the same fan and should not differ, unless it is the volume bearing damage or a faulty fan controller before)

So I took starting at point 2 that I had probably caught 2 Monday models consecutively, since I, to play it safe, went straight to my buddy and my ran former with my new synchronous - the result was clear, not only in volume, the new switches at least 15 minutes more to the next fan speed. Now I did not want to leave me to tell again in said media shop that I just imagining that the old is quieter, so I took it (for now) for granted .. therefore played the backup to the new console (took about 3 hours) and switched them off ordngungsgemäß. Unfortunately, it appeared to 3 hours to be too much, the next day happened namely nothing more than I turned on the power - no light, no beep, nothing - that is exchanged again, my hope, this time to catch a perhaps quieter model, was low and was obviously not met .. (end)

[A general rule of thumb when changing the console:]
If you buy a new PS3 and want to transfer the entire system of your old (still functioning) console via data transfer, yourselves a favor and delete previously the game data (not the saved games) all games that are not played her at the time. This saves scary time because z. B. ModNation Racer loosely times 5GB respectively Gran Turismo up to 10GB disk space occupied. So I was able to reduce the transfer time of about 3 hours by about 10 games in about 15 minutes with no play. For the backup with external USB drive, the same applies. However, I can not guarantee that all really Scores are taken after a new installation of a game, because I have not tried this - lt Google supposed to work..

[Conclusion]
- If you have a working model of the series CECH-2504A, especially if you have bought it on Amazon here (is the case with me) retain it, the CECH-3004er are not only circumcised (only one power LED, matt side faces, a slightly different color (black), Blu-ray edition no longer AV output, but which is present), but also against Sony's support information much louder, pointing to other fans that also a permanent faint beeping cause!
- Furthermore, I noticed that the turning on of the controller PS button (without cable) apparently does not always work; Although the console starts, but the controller was not always recognized and had to be connected and newly detected via charging cable again - is pretty sure not happened to me in the 2504A ..
- Otherwise, it's just a PS3, which offers many great games (of course quite a bit of scrap), saves the Blu-ray player, and (in my opinion) the best since the PS1 controller adduced that do not look for toys and which one does not feel to hold a Tupperware container in his hand.

Note: the 2-star Rating is based solely on the new K model due to the volume, which I attribute against Sony's statement to the new lighter construction or another Lüfermodell, since it is unlikely that I was the only customer have caught succession 3 brand new original sealed consoles with a production error (if they do, I should play the lottery more often;)); the PS3 itself would have gotten from me 5 stars.

[Important Note !!]
- I have to correct my statement to the hard disk conversion => the first call in the Sony hotline was promised to me to demand that you can safely use hard drives with 7200rpm, because I have that then made spontaneously, my PS3 but with a 1-hour data transfer concern was hot (much warmer than the coupled counterpart), I called again at the techn. Hotline (was another employee, of course) and this advised me against it, because Sony only 2.5 "drives are tested with 5400rpm and currently only the first 720GB => ergo: if itself Sony not agree, let I prefer everything as it is; but once the warranty is over, will be upgraded, then it is not matter anyway :)
