So far, I stuck on my Xperia Z a matt film from dipos. This had also done me good service. She was very robust and resistant to scratches, but the display lost some of its brilliance.
So I wanted to try it with a smooth surface and times'm finally, by the many good reviews, ended up with this one.
What is important to me at a screen protector is the exact fit, a certain scratch resistance and it must of course be apply without bubbles. The display must also continue to be easy to operate and should be different than in a matt foil, lose nothing of its original brilliance.
My requirements for the film were, unfortunately, only partially fulfilled.
The delivery, I would describe as a very exemplary.
In addition to the films, there is an installation manual, a cleaning cloth and an installation card even in the set that you would normally use when compared to normal debit or credit cards, is much softer and thus should protect the display from possible scratches.
Let's start with the fit. Here FoliX has delivered really excellent job. The cutouts for the cameras, flash are really exactly met and properly mounted / glued, the film also reaches right up to the glass or film edge of the base film by Sony. The surface touches his very pleasant and allows despite the smooth finish, a precise working without which one gets the feeling that one slide from. The brilliance and intensity of the display is deteriorated in any way, but you have to as a former user of matte films, it always used to the incident light, a mirror produced.
The bubble-free installation of the film turns out with a bit of tact and the right technology to be quite straightforward. If necessary, remove the old film and clean the surface first. Who works here already clean and the original surface does not touch as possible, also have little or no brush must! I always use for cleaning alcohol-based glass cleaner. Which is then removed with a lint-free cloth and polished display again with the professional microfiber cloth.
I always use for mounting the time-honored technique bathroom! ;)
Leave in the bathroom simply close the door and windows and the shower or faucet running with hot water either a few minutes or equal to itself take a shower if necessary. ;)
After a few minutes the air is saturated and the dust particles are combined with the condensed water and sink to the bottom of the room. Then best to put on a couple of powder-free disposable gloves. This will prevent the form of sweat or grease stains on the adhesive side of the film, but if you touch this time accidentally.

If the film is not optimally placed, then the error potentiated course over the entire length and it may on the other end then lead to deviations of 1-2 millimeters. Unfortunately, I was the film, but very disappointed in the scratch resistance. When I look at the films delivered, then I do not find one that does not have micro-scratches. The lies nothing good expectations for me. After assembling the film, I could see that even leave the right soft mounting card, fine scratches.
I carry the smartphone aware always to eliminate in an extra jacket or trouser pocket to potential hazards. Unfortunately, everything has brought nothing, and the surface was covered after a few days with significant scratches.
It looks like you seem to need to decide on an evil.
Either you take the matte film and has a fairly low sensitivity to scratching, but a less brilliant and darker display or take the smooth slide and bought the richer colors and brilliance, with a high scratch resistance and reflections by light irradiation.
Or you wait until the first smartphones with sapphire crystal appear (possibly already this year) and saves any films. ;)
