The integrated into the conventional flat panel TVs loudspeaker systems are notoriously weak sound: It's just too little room for bulky chassis available. Therefore provide either equal a surround system as reinforcement to or known from the PC speaker ensemble consisting of two high / midrange speakers and a subwoofer. Very good experience I have there with the cheapest solution of sound made "Trust Tytan 2.1 Speaker System" Trust Tytan, which I enjoy my TV sound since two and a half years. I am still very pleased. The clear-conditioning costs 57 euros, but requires of course space for a total of three boxes. If the absent or wish to have a more compact solution, the present model of Bose offers. However, it costs eight times!
Setup & Connections
Ideally, the TV should be placed directly on the case of the sound system. If the TV stand to a large area (and would thus extend beyond the Bose-device), you have to look for alternatives, but it should almost always be. But upright, the Bose not be operated because of the side speakers would be obscured.
Our sound system requires only the audio signal of your TV (or satellite receiver) to fulfill its purpose. This is in many ways:
(1) digital, via fiber optic cable (included)
(2) digital, via coaxial RCA cable (included)
(3) analog, via stereo RCA cable (included)
(4) analog, via an adapter cable RCA / minijack for the TV-headphone jack (not supplied)
The first two variants are favored by the manufacturer, because they provide the best sound.
Depending on the type of connection you are using the TV must be configured in the Sound menu (mute the internal speakers, definition of the audio signal at the output jack).
Normally, the entire configuration of the sound system takes about fifteen minutes.
The remote control
It appears at first completely oversized, because to get the possible functions of the sound system (on / off - high / low / mute - interactive mode (bass cut)) would a clearer model sufficient. And so is there also a "solo 10" keyboard with just these basic functions, which is not included in our package. Instead, you have the enclosed "Solo 15" the possibility theoretically all else existing devices around the theme "Television" on this handset remotely to use. In addition, virtually all are needed, vendor-specific, listed codes in a booklet supplied. Up to six different devices can be controlled in this manner.
The work itself is very good. But of course there is here the old problem that certain special keys are just not available and therefore their functions can not be retrieved. With me so is the SAT receiver with hard disk is no longer programmed. In this and similar cases, the original remote control is indispensable.
The control unit fits comfortably in your hand and has tactile keys. The optical design and clarity of more than 50 buttons is well done. After a short time you can operate them safely and properly.
The Sound
Our "Bose Solo 15" provides a starting thoroughly clean and powerful sound with adequate bass. The latter can be adjusted using the knob on the rear panel. Although I am not a hardcore Bassfan, I have since been fully turn up, to gain access to the familiar sound. Because this regard has my og PC sound system, the direct A / B comparison, then still some reserves. Who does not like to live without thumping basses, should not decide for our Bose, because he would be disappointed. But for my taste it lacks nothing.

Summary
Design technology and sound provides the manufacturer Bose sound system to a very neat solution. The thumping bass lush boombox installation it does not reach, of course. The sound is more for slightly older men and women, with a sense of fine nuances. Deterrent is the high price, even if this appears justified in view of the sound and build quality. Nevertheless, I would like to just four stars awarded, because the above-mentioned alternative to reach at least the same fidelity, but pay for only one-eighth. Main advantage of the Bose system: compactness and elegance!
