This review I write out of the box and on the new keyboard.
First of all, I have my old keyboard finally, after the keys gradually turn "gamer career" and extensive use in writing for over 10 years, replaced by a new because it no longer exists already longer "my".
So I searched for hours and I read quite a few reviews, I was doing this to look, layout and functionality. Since I have high expectations and am usually rather influence the negative reviews, I Testhalber ordered me this.
They like it very much at first glance. The size, the multimedia keys and the wrist rest had to be simple, the lighting is a bonus which I could have done without, more on that later. After I opened the package, I firstonce tried the keys and pressed each time about 10-20 to possible errors noted. Which reminds me nothing noticed. After connecting, there was an installation that contrary to expectations a bit longer but still took the time frame was acceptable.
What I like about this keyboard and what has led me to buy:
- She has rough edges, so I describe here the form. Because I like that person very well.
-. The matte finish on both the "keyboard case" and on the keys themselves only at the upper end, the polygon around the logo is shiny. But even that is a good solution, because it is not engaging as comparable models and also with lighting not too intrusive.
- The lighting is controlled nice, but there is an extra button between "Alt" and the "drop-down menu" to the right of the spacebar.
- The keys are beautifully smooth and I have, can not see any problems up to the sometimes more, sometimes less noisy attacks.
- The multimedia keys are attached "above" on the keyboard and slightly offset, they are slightly rubberized, not lit but nicely designed. anyway should be illuminated only what I "need".
- The Num / Caps / Scroll Lock indicator is always blue (when turned on), I had here expects the same color as selected to see that is blue / red or purple, however, this can be seen more quickly even with lighting if something is activated, even with blue rays because these lights much brighter than anything else.
And what I in turn do not like, unfortunately, more than expected:
- This keyboard is not for big hands or fingers wide, I have long thin fingers and even if the pressing of adjacent keys happens rarely, it definitely happens too often, the F-keys are always times again pressed accidentally. Furthermore, I have also often times double letters can of course be only a matter of practice. This is partly due to the fact pleasant smoothness of the keys on the other hand, and in connection therewith to the small distance to the keys. The space bar, however sometimes just one exposes.
- The palm rest is more of a "thumb rest".
- The right support is already after the second time to open a little slack.
- All of the processing is not very clean, there are always burrs or Materialüberbleibsel which actually should have been removed.
In addition to the logo, which is an omitted at this point the sticker has been high at the corners, there is a small hole in the label so that the light falls and yet can irritate repeatedly. With each passing day, the sticker comes a little more and to be smoothly pushed back.
- The lighting is only in top view immaculate and very beautiful, with the space bar on the other hand completely wrong one sees three points where the lights sit. An illumination over the entire length is not given. What I noticed at very close inspection and after I do it now in the pictures. (The light is not orange as shown in the picture but really red, I would have it so dear, but knew to what I am "inlets" because I'm here went to the description)
- The light bars on the sides have some flaw in the material. It looks as if booze and dust grains included, but are likely to "crazing" which act by the extreme light.
- When you turn on the lights, after you start the computer, the first color (blue) is always skipped.
- Then something "more serious", the characters sit not always centered on the keys, this should already be given. I do not mean the special character of the numeric keys in the "Notepad", these are one reason for the purchase. I mean sitting my W about too high on the button and my Z eg Too right.
- The bottom row keys in "großen- / write block" that is, from left to CTRL CTRL right, protrude slightly higher also than the number of change-over to the left Shift-right.
- The keys sit at different heights on the keyboard, which inscribe themselves after a while (as for example after the review of this) has placed at least in the letter.
- It shows once again particularly evident in the spacebar. While it sounds pleasantly muffled on the left is the sound of the attack on the right side rather unpleasant, with a small clatter. It is right also something deeper.
- While the multimedia keys for turning, stopping, switching back and forth and to silently ask only need to be pushed, annoying the pressure point and the noise in the key for louder or quieter place but already.
More neutral, I see the following:
- It is more of a style element, despite the errors, with the look and the lighting, it is definitely good.
- The keystrokes are not particularly loud, but not very quiet.
- The intensity of light from the bottom up is the order of the colors in the turn. Here is blue no. 1 and the weakest, red no. 2, and more and more into pink violet what already goes Nos. 3 and strongest.
- Writing is my only possible with blue and violet, because I have to look again and again to the new keyboard when writing, do my eyes in red after a while hurt. Without lighting it is not possible for me because my place is a little less illuminated and I always wanted replacements errors in the new keyboard without looking. Because the known printed letters had the cutouts for the lighting soft and are therefore to use with lighting or with knowledge of keyboard layouts.
Finally:
This keyboard is when it's all about writing less suitable because there are much better models for. To write I'll possibly, if I do not like to rely on my old keyboard and look around for a new.
You should look good and at a general overview it provides the also excellent. On closer inspection, however, and in detail, are price / performance is not adequate.
This is a keyboard for LAN parties, not a permanent solution but to Rumzeigen well suited. The best teenage when hands are not quite mature yet, so that they fit better on the keyboard.
