Pro:
+ Very good and clean processing and haptics
+ It is really very stable and unshakable vs.. To my old tripod.
+ The average extendable rod can be removed and screw the head to the lower part. There are thus 3 heights adjustable. (The bars are mutually compatible: If you have the tripod 2 times, you can combine 2 bars.)
+ When folded very compactly
+ Extra transport bag
+ After I used the ball head of this tripod, I know that ball head is not the same ball head. The screw can be fixed and pleasant tighten. It is very stable overall and is also due for SLRs. One should the max. Note load capacity of 1kg. As long as I'd photographed in landscape orientation increase the capacity on 1.5kg. Once you but the DSLR (+ kit lens) anwinkelt to 45 ° or even 90 °, you should put in each case at a 1kg limit.
Con:
- In my 600D + kit you have to tighten very firmly the ball head, so that can be photographed in edgewise. With heavy zoom lenses can forget the angled photograph.
- All feet are the same length and can be neither shorter nor longer "pull" as cheap mini tripods. Without spirit level (real or digitally in the camera integrated) may experience difficulties on uneven ground.
Conclusion:
Overall, obtained with the Walimex mini tripod a really very good compact and sturdy tripod at a very good price. For SLR cameras, the tripod is limited, since it with zoom lenses probably the max. Exceed capacity. For 1 or 2-digit Canon cameras and 1 to 3-digit Nikon cameras, I would recommend a more expensive tripod. This should be done at the price range anyway;)
