What until now, no reviewer has written: you can use this super reading diary also to the professional purposes. Who needs to read much special literature / literature / secondary literature because of his profession, know what I mean. I bought this book just for my thesis: I have read a lot of secondary literature, some monographs (entire books on a specific topic), but very often even essays in different anthologies / Journals. Because you often lose track. I had so many times myself looking for a suitable quote for so long because I could not remember exactly where I read that.
I use Ex Libris as follows: in the main part I note the author and the title (rather than book / audio book comes with me "Monograph" or "top" or "collection" as a handwritten note above). Instead of genre I write down my library catalog number (or possibly ISBN if I intend to purchase the books)
In the foreseen for the comments line I write short summary of the article and the page numbers where I Confirmation find my thoughts (or a controversial opinion about which I would like to discuss) - definitely evidence that are necessary for further / future Quote Search ,
The alphabet-register after I use family names of the authors (the essays sometimes carry strange name ...)
Works great and is really fun to catalog the read technical papers!
Here at the site of an appeal to the Ex Libris-makers:
Perhaps it would not be wrong to bring out an Ex Libris for the job? (Without gifted / give away Categories).
It would be great if you could always expand your Eck data fields to an ISBN field, because by means of this number can be years, decades after the date yet to find the necessary support (if the support does not matter, you can book of course can also be found by name, but would be an ISBN field not wrong)
An empty space in the corner data would not verkeht order to get everyone the reinschreibt, what is important: the price, the number of pages - or as I, the catalog number of the library, so I can later easily can borrow the book again and does not have to spend hours browsing the catalog only.
Furthermore, perhaps would make sense, nor to extend the upper left two fields "book" and "Audiobook" through an e-book, because there are tons of books and increasingly bought as downloads.
These are just suggestions that perhaps would be useful, the lack thereof but still does not bother me, ds evaluate Ex Libris with 5 stars, because at the moment it is in the market the best foundation / basis for my literature cataloging idea (the unnecessary fields I paint by and call the Kategorieen handwritten new, only it would be nicer if the categories / fields were already printed by the manufacturer as you need it)
