We just got this microscope & we love it! It's easy to use. There is a guide in English (I am English but someone else said you can find it online in French). We had received another microscope my mother EduScience of the USA did not work for everything. We were disappointed when I found this microscope Duo-Scope & magazines were for the most part very good. I would have liked a 900x zoom sometimes found on other microscope (this is 400x) & more prepared slides but it's just fine. And my son & I prefer the loop function as the light descends from above. I think the light down to the microscope is very strong. I wonder if it could possibly damage the eyes - it was like that with each other microscope we had too.

But my son is delighted. We look for videos on YouTube how to use microscopes & ideas of things you can consider. I would have liked to have it when I was little. I think we have encouraged children especially if they show an interest in science.
