Workmanship and quality are, as you would expect from a professional device, excellent. No comparison to other manufacturers - pricewise though of course not :-) The flash is enshrined in Canon hotshoe via a special, sealing by means of rubber, super mechanism firmly and securely. The hot shoe plate is made of solid metal. The communication works! Honored at Canon, image results are usually excellent with no major intervention. If a menuelles readjustment is necessary, this can be done quickly and easily using the buttons and the scroll wheel. All in all, a clear recommendation for many applications.
