Very cool product (with one caveat; see Addendum)

I run five to six times a week, while from Monday to Friday in the morning at half past six. In the last six years I have used a discount headlamp to illuminate my running route in the winter, which I found very good (and above all very cheap for just under 15 euros). Now this has but definitely reached its end of life and I decided for the Silva Trail Runner II as his successor.

And what can I say: the difference is like night and day. The discounter thing has thrown only one round but very bright spot on the floor. The spot is at the Silva also available and even a bit brighter. In addition, here on the second LED but also the environment right, left and super illuminated forward with a pleasant diffused light. Thus even narrow forest paths can cope fine. If you raise your head, even more distant objects will be lights up just fine.

Also handy is the status display, the three colors (green, orange, red) after turning off the light indicates the battery status. The only complaint is the faulty short instructions that come with the lamp. Here it is shown that by repeatedly pressing the button after switching on the lamp between the three operating conditions (bright, dim, flashing) can change. That's true but not so, as the callable by a QR code online manual properly provides. After turning you change by repeatedly pressing the button between the bright and dim lighting duration. In the flashing mode to get if you do not press the button when you turn short but long. Another long press on the lamp from all modes.

Am still curious to see how it is related to the power consumption, but until now the part is a real buy recommendation; I would access immediately resist!

Supplement 20:11:14: after I've worn the lamp on the first two days because of rain over a baseball cap, is also now now I noticed at the first round without additional cap already mentioned several times here glare. The scattered light that does good services for the ambient lighting seems even in the face (nose tip is even directly illuminated) and disturbs them extremely visual. Especially for eyeglass wearers (I'm yet to rimless glasses) are the glare so great that the vision is severely limited, especially in very dark environments. I've helped me with a small plastic strips, which I have attached with double-sided tape at the bottom of the lamp, now it's perfect. But in this price range, it can reasonably expect better engineering performance; Therefore, subsequently a star deduction!
