Although all drivers are up to date my PC, I installed curiosity Asus USB 3.0 Boost software, meant to give a boost to transfers (I have an Asus motherboard H87 PLUS-C2). Against all odds, it is found that it works! Thus, the flows I got before installing the software (see the rest of my review) can be forgotten, because the new limits which correspond to the key: 261 MB / s write and 238 MB / s Crystal Disk Mark in writing. In manual copy, however, is below.
Windows 7 is involved: it does not handle native USB 3 (see notes under my review), so the Asus software installs a driver that is in charge, which provides increased flow rates.
As for the encryption of the data, I detail the qualities and faults in my answer to a customer.

[COMMENT PART OF WHICH IS MORE NEWS.]
I hesitated to put 3 stars because the difference between promises (260 MB / s read, 240 MB / s write) and what I got (175 MB / s read and 171 MB / s write) is very important.
But I have an old PC just a few months and assembled by me, and tests were performed manually and with HD Tune and Crystal Disk Mark, all with the help of a Crucial M550 SSD, whose capacities Writing and reading are much higher than those of the USB drive. Each test was performed several times, but nothing to do, the flows have not taken off.

I formatted the key exFAT and NTFS. The results with the latter file system are higher (except for files of 5 MB in writing, strangely). Here's what I got:
LARGE FILES (over 2 GB)
2 USB write: 40MB / s
USB Playback 2: 40 MB / s
Writing USB 3: 171 MB / s (228 MB / s with USB 3.0 Boost Asus)
USB Playback 3: 175 MB / s (230 MB / s with USB 3.0 Boost Asus)
MEDIA FILES (400 5MB files)
Writing USB 2: 35 MB / s
USB Playback 2: 37.5 MB / s
Writing USB 3: 92 MB / s
USB Playback 3: 147 MB / s (172 MB / s with USB 3.0 Boost Asus)
SMALL FILES (3000 file 1 kb)
Writing USB 2: 7 seconds
USB Playback 2: 2 seconds
Writing USB 3: 5 seconds
USB Playback 3: 2 seconds
Note that the USB 2 speeds are excellent: I doubt we can do better.
The key body is made of aluminum; it can effectively dissipate heat (fortunately, because even with that, she quite heated!) In addition to being beautiful and durable. The retractable connector is the same as the SanDisk Extreme. I have it in duplicate, and the quality of the connector is variable. Besides, this system has the game on my SanDisk Extreme Pro, which gives it a slightly OCD side when you hear the plastic fidgeting.
Last thing: using a code provided in the box, you can also get free for one year the Rescue Pro Deluxe software.
Conclusion: fast, beautiful, but a little too big for my taste.
